What is a basket
A basket is a single ERC-20 token that holds a curated set of tokenized real-world assets. It puts a whole theme into one holding.
Instead of buying and managing a dozen separate tokens, you hold one basket token. For example, bSEMIS (Semis & AI) or bBIG7 (Big Tech). The basket’s value tracks its underlying holdings live via onchain price feeds.

Exposure, not ownership
A basket token gives you price exposure to its underlying tokenized assets. It does not grant company ownership, shareholder voting, or a direct legal claim on the underlying issuer.
Buying a basket
Buy a basket in one transaction with USDG or the $BSKT token. It lands in your own wallet, self-custodied.
Step by step
- Connect & pick. Connect your wallet, choose a basket, and enter an amount. You get a live quote showing how much basket token you’ll receive, plus fees and slippage.
- Approve (one-time). The first transaction grants the router permission to spend your chosen token (a standard ERC-20 allowance, signed once).
- Buy. The router automatically takes the better of two paths: mint new basket tokens against the underlying assets, or swap for existing basket tokens on the market.
- Hold. The basket token arrives in your wallet. You custody it yourself, with no account and no one else holding your assets.
Paying with $BSKT
When you pay with $BSKT, the router routes it into the purchase (swapping to the basket’s settlement asset where needed). Holding $BSKT can also reduce your fees. See Token utility.
Selling & redeeming
Exit any time. Sell the basket token on the market, or redeem it for its underlying value.
Two ways out
Sell
Swap the basket token back to USDG or $BSKT on the market, instantly, at the live price.
Redeem
Burn the basket token through the issuer to release its share of the underlying assets’ value.
Both routes are available around the clock. Because you self-custody the basket token, you’re never waiting on an account holder to release it.

Why we separate them
The hardest thing to trust in managed products is the track record. So we don’t ask you to take ours on faith: live baskets earn trust because the record is onchain and checkable. A brand-new basket only carries a backtest until it trades live, and we mark it as such.
Mint & redeem
Basket tokens are created and destroyed against the assets that back them. This mechanism keeps a basket tracking its holdings.
How it works
- Mint. A deposit is used to acquire the basket’s underlying tokenized assets at their target weights; new basket tokens are issued to represent that share.
- Redeem. Burning basket tokens releases the corresponding share of the reserve’s value back to the holder.
- Pricing. The basket’s value is derived from onchain price feeds for each holding, so the token tracks its assets continuously.
- Rebalancing. Target weights are maintained through periodic onchain rebalances, each recorded as a verifiable event.
AI-managed baskets
Some baskets are actively managed by an automated strategy that rebalances onchain, with every decision recorded in the open.
Where a curated basket holds a fixed theme, an AI-managed basket lets an automated strategy adjust holdings over time. Because it operates onchain, each rebalance is a verifiable event. You can see exactly what it did and when.
$BSKT token utility
$BSKT is the token that coordinates the Robinbaskets protocol. It does real jobs, and it isn’t a claim on the underlying assets.

- Market risk. Baskets can lose value. Diversification lowers your exposure to any single name, but it does not remove risk.
- Liquidity risk. Thin pools can mean slippage on trades and delays or costs on redemption.
- Smart contract risk. Onchain systems can contain bugs. Audits reduce that risk but never remove it.
- Counterparty risk. Baskets are built on third-party tokenized assets; that dependency is disclosed on every basket.
Eligibility & jurisdictions
The underlying tokenized assets are restricted in several jurisdictions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Switzerland. Robinbaskets is available only to eligible users in supported regions and is not available to US persons.
